A £250 million regeneration scheme for Maidenhead town centre was given the green light last month, following a successful 18-month campaign by Camargue for developer London & Aberdeen.
‘The Landing’ – designed by Studio Egret West and Allies and Morrison – was approved by councillors at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in a major step forward for a development just 100m from the future Crossrail station.
The project will deliver a spectacular new gateway for the town, providing over 600,000 sq ft of development including 260,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, 225 new homes and new cafés, restaurants and shops.
Camargue has provided multi-disciplinary communications support throughout the planning process, from the RIBA competition through to the unanimous vote to approve the scheme by local councillors.
Our campaign has built upon the impressive commitment of the developer to world-class design and community involvement, as well as its ambition to bring a ‘game-changing’ scheme to the heart of Maidenhead in time for Crossrail in 2019.
